Banksia Allied Health provides allied health services to the Clarence Valley. We take pride in our reputation for delivering professional care with integrity, compassion, and authenticity. We are real people who care about the community and always do the right thing to help our clients.
We use an evidence-based approach to support our clients to manage and make changes to their lives in response to challenging health conditions. Our client-centred model of care focuses on the unique needs of each individual to assist them to improve & maintain their long term well-being.
We have a special interest in providing services to hard-to-reach groups who face additional barriers or find it difficult to access health services.
Our Services
Allied health professionals are university-qualified practitioners who prevent, diagnose, and treat a wide range of health conditions and illnesses. They often work in multidisciplinary teams with other specialised healthcare professionals.
Exercise Physiology
An exercise physiologist is a healthcare professional who prescribes and delivers clinical movement and lifestyle interventions for a wide range of health conditions:

Our Clients
Self-Funded
Self-funded clients pay directly for allied health services, giving them flexibility and immediate access to care without the need for external approvals or referrals.
Private Health
Many private health insurance policies offer 'extras' cover with rebates for allied health services. It's important to check your policy details with your provider, as out-of-pocket costs typically apply.
Medicare
Medicare provides rebates for individuals with chronic diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders, and mental health conditions to access limited allied health services. A GP referral is required.
DVA
We welcome DVA clients.
DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) are accepted as payment upon a GP referral.
NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funds allied health services for eligible participants based on their assessed needs. We support self-managed and plan-managed participants.
Workers Compensation
The NSW Workers Compensation scheme funds allied health services for injured workers to optimise recovery and return to work. A GP referral is required.
Aged Care
The Support at Home program funds allied health services for eligible participants based on their assessed needs. We offer services for self-managed and provider-managed participants.
Pre-Employment
Pre-employment assessments are usually funded by an employer. We offer physical and functional testing to assess job suitability.
Workshop
We offer interactive workshops for organisations and community groups, tailored to the audience, aimed to promote the health and well-being of the Clarence Valley.
